Yummy ,Moist ,Healthy,easy to make Low-fat Whole wheat banana bread. This quick bread is perfect with breakfast or tea/coffee time.
I like this recipe because we cut down the saturated fats.
In most banana bread recipe butter is used, but in this recipe we are using Canola Oil and Low-fat yogurt…but it doesn’t change the texture and flavor. Also we are replacing All purpose flour to Whole wheat flour so it is becoming more healthy and taste wise also good.
Now we see the Ingredients for this Recipe:
2 Medium size Ripe bananas
1 1/2 Cup Sieve Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 Cup Chopped Walnuts
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Cup Oil
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 Cup Yogurt
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
For Garnishing Chocolate Chips and some Chopped Walnuts
Now we will see the Step by Step Recipe :
In Bowl take chopped ripe bananas
Now Mash the bananas with a fork
Add Yogurt and Baking soda in mashed banana and mix well
…..set aside for 5 mins.
After 5 mins add Oil and Brown Sugar
Whisk all ingredients for 2-3 mins
In another bowl, mix together the sieve Whole wheat flour, Baking powder, Cinnamon Powder and Salt
Then Banana mixture is combined with Whole Wheat Flour
Mix With Spatula just until all ingredients are moistened
Pour the Mixture in the Grease tray and flatten the top
Garnishing with Chocolate Chips and Chopped Walnuts
Preheat Oven 350 degree Fahrenheit and Bake for 40-45 mins
Remove From Oven & Place on Wire-Rack for Cool.
