Here’s where it all began!
Knee pain, lower back pain, fatigue, low energy, mood swings, gaining weight, low self confidence and what not! I started avoiding stairs, long walks, and even standing in the kitchen for long hours would make my legs pain at night. My wake up call was when I had to leave my school job due to knee pain as I was required to do a lot of physical activity being a Music and Dance teacher. That time I realized what had done to my body!
Early this year 2020, I decided to take control of my health. I started doing some very light exercises mixing yoga in between. Soon after couple of months, I began to feel more energetic, revived, endured less body pain, no fatigue.
It sounds like a dramatic story, but trust me, it all happens slowly and gradually.
There were times when my body refused to get up and workout or my knees would pain, but the resolution motivated me to keep going. I am still in the process of becoming strong, gaining more stamina, but the journey has been fantastic so far. In the process of getting more toned body, I also lost around 4 kgs.
So what I learnt is “Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going”.
